TVM destination quirks

Image is of the TVM interface landing page at Paisley Canal Station, displaying a list of quick selection popular destinations (Edinburgh, Exhibition Centre, and four suburban stations in Glasgow, none of which are on the Paisley Canal line).

Edinburgh and Exhibition Centre are perhaps understandable, even if I doubt the Canal to Baillieston flow is significant. However, there’s a glaring omission in these options (which means searching for the destination) – I haven’t seen any numbers, but having used this line for years I’d be hugely surprised if Glasgow Central isn’t the most common final destination by some margin (you know… the big station in the big city at the end of the line). There’s even four blank options where Central could be added (I also note that this isn’t at issue at Paisley Gilmour St, where Central is the top option).

Two questions:

Any reason for the TVM to be configured this way?

Are peculiar quick selections destinations unusual? Any other examples?

(Apols for poor quality image).

@d70g. Good question! Is the TVM just 'remembering' previous destinations for those tickets purchased earlier that same day?
