I've been watching the following recently:

The Apprentice, Land of the Giants, The A-Team, Star Trek Voyager, Thunderbirds are Go, Supergirl, The Flash, Z-Nation, The Walking Dead, The Piglet Files, Arrow, Corrie, The Chase, The Bill, Family Guy, etc etc.

I'm also waiting for Grimm, Earth Final Conflict (Horror on 16th), The Simpsons, to start. I dislike the internet TV monopolies and won't use them ever.

Anybody who has watched Breaking Bad will know that any list of tv hits will always start in second place.

I've given up with TV listings. Very little on that I'm interested in - current affairs; that's about it (and that's depressing enough!).

But never mind me, my old man used to spend hours in front of the telly with his remote. Now when he sits sown it's "Howard, can you find something on Youtube for me...."

When there is something which might be of any interest, the production (music/effects too loud etc) spoils it - not tomention when they spend 3 - 4 minutes at the start of a programme telling you what's coming up. After four minutes "thanks, I know what it's all about, I'll turn off and put youtube on now!"

I came to Breaking Bad quite late and we've got laptops but no TV so watched it on DVD. Everyone was going on about how good it was which put me off a bit, then I thought, ah I'll give it a go then. Before long we were finding ourselves in Tescos at midnight buying the next DVD after watching three episodes in a row, absolutely hooked!
I generally watch:

Documentaries
Comedy
The odd film
Some drama.

Really like things like Black Mirror but I haven't watched any of the new series yet.

The Wire wins this one for me. The Wire was consistently excellent throughout its 5 series. Breaking Bad - first 4 series were excellent, the last one tailed off a bit. Still good though.

It's been said of The Wire that it ended at just the right time: too soon!

Another drama I'd recommend is Person of Interest, which ended earlier this year. Transparent was also impressive, as was Mr. Robot.

It was the launch of Better Call Saul that prompted me to binge-watch Breaking Bad. Knowing where some of the characters end up does take the edge off a bit, but it is still a very well-written show.

For something with less death and destruction, Arrested Development is great... though if you have a low tolerance for fourth-wall-breaks you might want to give it a wide berth!

I very seldom watch "real" TV. I do like the news in the morning on the BBC. It's got to be good for me to watch something live. Looking forward to Planet Earth 2 this evening though.

Otherwise it's DVD's all the way, I'm in control and no ads. Game of Thrones season 6 afterwards, my Blu-ray copy turned up today.

I think programs were generally better in the 70's and 80's. I also recently treated myself to the box set of On the Buses. It's nice to watch them and funny in the order they were made.

I don't watch television very often, but programmes I like to watch on the standard channels are Holby City, Hollyoaks and Match of the Day. I'm also a big fan of Humans on Channel 4, very much looking forward to tonight's episode.

Other current programmes I like are Black Mirror (not watched the new series yet), Family Guy, American Dad, Star Trek, Auction Hunters and last but not least, The Big Bang Theory. I also like watching repeats of How I Met Your Mother, Bottom and The IT Crowd.

I bet "The Grand Tour" will become one of the most pirated TV shows once the first episode is released this week.

As for current TV for me, the only shows I tend to watch at the moment on the TV itself are news-based comedy shows (Have I Got News for You [very hit/miss lately], No Such Thing As the News, Last Leg), plus Chris Tarrant's Railway show, and the odd episode of the Simpsons when it is on channel 4

They would definitely be in my top 5, I have just bought the blu-ray of Breaking Bad to watch again as it was so long you forget some of it.
Looking forward to the real Top Gear this weekend.
