I have just noticed whilst looking on bing maps that Darlington still has a turntable just to the south of the station. I have never noticed this before. I assume it is no longer functional looking at the image. But I am just wandering how rare is this? How many turntables are there out there on the NR network (heritage lines obviously need them).
