The various Turbostar (including Clubman for Chiltern) and Electrostar multiple units have been one of the most preponderous privatisation builds. But what was exact order units (by batches/sub-classes) were built and delivered?

The Turbostar and associated class breakdowns on Wikipedia are a good place to start

Midland Mainline was the first TOC to order Turbostars (what became 170101–117 in 1998; they were built right after the original Chiltern Clubmans) and I think were the first to put them into frontline service; they certainly were in service by March 1999 (linked photo by Flickr's Brian Dean).

LTS rail (now c2c) ordered the first Electrostars 44 x class 357 in 1997, the order was increased to 46 units by the manufacturer Adtranz due to the late introduction of the original 44 units.
