Staying on holiday with family in Pickering provided an excellent excuse for a day out on the North Yorks Moors railway. Our daughter required some medication from Boots. As the Boots in Pickering was shut on Sunday I suggested catching the steam train to Whitby where there was a Boots open on a Sunday. Surprisingly my wife agreed and a very enjoyable day was had listening to the steam train working hard at times. The only new train I got though was 25278. Whilst it is in my Platform 5 2015 edition book I suspect in won't be in the latest editions as it looked non operational.
