The ironic thing is that at the last round of Ticket Office Permanent closures under the Shorter Working Week, LUL moved staff from central London to the quiter stations under something called "Customer Led Rostering" this led to stations like Kings Cross having problems at weekends as they had less staff than they used to!
Dont believe everything that City Hall and TfL/LUL tell you!
What will happen is that only NR stations where LUL sell their tickets; ie Farringdon and Stratford will remain, plus some selcted zone 1 and outlying stations, will stay open during part of the day and will only have one Ticket Office open, which may involve a long old trek.
Taking it further they may then just have a "Customer Service Assistant" at open air stations (the new ones only recieve 2 weeks very very basic training) rather than a Station Supervisor that can carry out a whole range of procedures.
