Anyone tried it yet?
I have seen little difference on the Graphical side, The Academy side is fine but I cannot see a more in depth Steam Train Tutorial, I would like to see a tutorial on what to do while climbing a hill.
The Volume seems quieter but that could be the characteristics of the new Hitachi Train. The last 2014 update seemed to make Night driving darker its's fine if you've got a TSX enabled but I find it impossible to find Cab Light switches.

Yeah, I gave it a quick whirl last night and aside from the menus, it looks little changed. Then again, I don't think I have any optimised routes. The Academy is OK although most of it I am aware of anyway and some are literally just videos

If they had half the Trains on the Intro would be nice:- Bullet Train was there and some other Foreign HST trains. I hope to see my Acela Express back which they pinched a few years ago.
Gameplay does not seem to be any different, it's definitely darker
And could DTG have picked a worse colour - Leicester Cheese- for it's own Trains? I'm sure I've seen something similar around but where???

Well, I never said anything but there was a reason they want to Japan... ;)

Your Acela should have never went? Mine was always there.

Gameplay hasn't really changed with the exception of a few small, but rather major, additions to the Editor. They've also done some optimising!

How do you mean darker? It could be because it has the new skies technology and so is considerably better.

My original TS was TS 2012, I purchased 2013(I think) as the included routes and Trains were cheaper than buying them alone, one of the Routes was North East corridor with Acela Xpress included this Train disappeared and is yet to return, unless it's on TS 2015.
Its become so dark that on some Trains BR DMU 101 eg that on entering the Cab you cannot find the light switches.

I would send them an email about it then. It shouldn't have gone anywhere. Take a look and see if it's on TS2015 though when you get the chance.

That will be the new lighting/skies/weather they've implemented. No real fix for it, unless you email them and see what they suggest.

I've just bought TS2015.

It seems VERY demanding on the pc compared to other sim titles, so much so that the tutorial sections is almost unplayable at times.

Seems I need to look at a whole host of pc upgrades to get the most out of ST2015 although all my current pc specs are well above the minimum required on the CD case.

Try looking at turning the settings down, a bit of tinkering can often produce a good tradeoff between graphics and performance.

Also, if you have an Nvidia Card, look at using the control panel to override the in game options.

Out of interest, what is your system and specs?

Try turning TSX mode off, that makes the biggest single difference.

To be honest, turning TSX off is the emergency 'last resort' option, and it can look terrible depending on route/weather configurations.

Shadows are one of the biggest system killers in the program and by default they may be set quite high. I'd turn them down (even off) to start with and see how it goes. Likewise, start by turning both Anti-Aliasing and Texture Filtering to their lowest, and turn of Adaptive Bloom. Test again and see how it goes before slowly raising them if possible until you have a good balance.
