I would like help identifying what the name of the railway station is (from the diagram of its layout which I created)

I did a search the forums with queries like "interesting platform layout" and "shared platform with passing loop". No luck there.

I did then look at this wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railway_station_layout

But this type of layout isn't even mentioned.

Thanks for the help.
Attached or inserted should be the diagram I created.

This is almost , but not quite, similar to the arrangement at Cambridge.

Is it just a single platform station?

Well, its actually two, but both share the same physical peice of track, with trains in one direction using the passing loop before rejoining and stopping at the opposite end.

If that helps

Ah right, I see. Not quite like Cambridge then. I haven't heard of a station like this one before...can you give us some context? Why do you have this diagram?

Ah - I was aware of Penryn but the layout is not quite the same.

An interesting station nonetheless!
