Wikipedia has Hethersett as preceding station. as this actual possible as it seems that Trouse is to far down the Ipswich line

Which Trowse?

There was a Trowse passenger station just north of the junction of the two lines, but also Trowse Goods on the line from Ipswich - ISTR the original terminus of the line from Ipswich.

(whatever W....dia thinks, neither was west of Hethersett!)

Looking at old maps, it appears that Trowse, possibly called Trowse Millgate, was immediately north of the junction between the Diss and Wymondhan routes. It was adjacent to Bracondale.

Are you thinking of Norwich Victoria - that was the original terminus of the Ipswich line, closing to passengers in 1916 and goods 70 years later?

Trowse was the temporary terminus of the Brandon line (which pre-dated the Ipswich line), pending construction of the swing-bridge over the Wensum to reach Thorpe.

What looks like the station building is still there, or at least was in May 2024 on Streetview, just north of the Bracondale bridge and opposite the approach road to the Tarmac works. It does look a bit tatty, but it was (according to Quick) last used during the electrification in summer 1986.

The two routes into Norwich from London converged at Trowse Lower Junction. The station was between Trowse Lower Junction and the swingbridge.

Here is a picture. It was easter 1986, almost exactly 40 years ago.

Norwich Victoria was only accessible from the Ipswich line, at Trowse Upper Junction.
