Has a 15x been to Hadfield? I know there was once a New Year's Day set of diversions which resulted in it being worked by DMUs from Victoria, but they were I believe Pacers (I had a ride on it myself).
Yes a 150 has . Not often but only when the overheads have had major issues. Has happened every now and then. Time to time. Also for the record it was only around a fortnight or so in the past and very recently a two car 1501 did make it to hadfield and glossop. Involving a two car 150 for this service,
By using a class 150 from a rose Hill Marple service. By short forming it to a two car from its booked four car formation. Apparently it's on the Facebook class 150 website to view.

I remember one of the 1990s Uckfield galas produced a 207 through to East Croydon on one of the last services of the day, I think it was a spur-of-the-moment thing due to a wheelchair user on board or something.

The next day when I asked if it might be possible to likewise run the last train in service through to Croydon, the response was an emphatic no, and it was said that the brown stuff had properly hit the fan over the previous day’s 207 going through Oxted Tunnel in service, due to the (then) lack of window bars!

At the time 207s were rare on the Uckfield branch, though not long after bars were fitted and they became more common.

I can certainly vouch for that tunnel being pretty tight in places.
Sorry it's a bit off-topic, but with reference to the post above, please see below a couple of shots taken on Saturday 26 May 1990 - 207001 at Uckfield, with no window bars.

I’m pretty confident that Shenfield to Southend Victoria/Southminster and the entire C2C network have never seen Sprinters

FGE didn't have any Sprinters themselves, presumably it was a hire-in from Anglia.

Yes hired in from Anglia, apart from the brief period when 121s were used by FGE, and very nice they were to - except that reliability went through the floor.

Very nice shots. I think it was okay to have such units on Oxted to Uckfield, but not on through workings north of Oxted. Not sure when the window bar requirement came in. Some units had their windows modified such that they could only open a few inches.

As an off-topic but related question - where have Sprinters been that has since been pulled up? the 1st-gen units have been over many a field/footpath/housing estate, but the 2nd gen untis arrived as attitudes were changing.

Morecambe Promenade (i.e. before the service was truncated back to its present terminus).
The original Wrexham Central (ditto).

The viaduct west of Leeds I imagine. Also the original Forster Square station before electrification?
