Where are the slowest parts? Why are they slower?
Where are the curviest parts and which sections would you straighten?
Most restrictive?

If you're by any chance referring to the TransPennine Express network, I'd say the stretch of track between Brough and Selby is pretty straight.

Also, the very short section of track just south of Malton is very curvy. :)

I'm very confused. Slowest parts of what? Which bit of the Transpennines (geographical or the TOC)? Could you clarify?
Geographical or TOC. Anywhere or any TOC between Hull/Immingham and Liverpool.

Slowest parts are the parts where passenger/freight travel the slowest. I know there are some crossovers that are 15mph
