Most trains on the network travel from A to B. Such trains may reverse here and there, but the purpose of the journey is to GET somewhere. This also includes shunts from one platform at A to another platform at A; or, in extemis, a shunt from one platform at A to a reversing siding, then back into the same platform at A some time later so that another service can use that platform in the interim.
But there are a FEW services where the purpose of the journey is the journey itself. Examples (and I'm sure readers can think of others) are:
Can anyone come up with a snappy name for such services? My colleagues have suggested:
SLOTOMS (Same LOcation Twice Or More Services)
Hokey Cokey Trains
TMR - Train of Multiple Reversals
JFJS - Journey For Journey's Sake
But none of these really trip (pun intended) off the tongue.
All suggestions gratefully received.

- route-learning trains
- track recording trains
