There was one at Glasgow Queen Street but i think it may have closed down.

That one was pretty short lived, I think it was called the Camperdown.

Partially underground, was only open a few years.

Yes, Camperdown Place was situated at street level rather than underground. Always had good trade but never remember it as busy.

There is/was a decent one near Farringdon Station. Can't remember the name but a bit medieval

The Sir John Oldcastle 'spoons.
I like the Castle Farringdon pub next to the station, but it ain't cheap.

It was lower at street level. That’s most likely why.

The Cannon Street Spoons must surely be the most central one, seeing that it is basically next to platform 1!

As opposed to the Victoria one which is slapbang in the middle of the concourse and literally adjacent to one of the Southeastern platformd?

I only have Penzance Spoons to go on - probably the worst spoons in the UK and takes up the slack from social services.
I do understand that not all Spoons are so awful - some are exceedingly good, hence my observation.

You are right. Oldham’s is up there among the very worst, yet Rochdale’s is excellent.

My anticipation of the Penzance one wasn't heightened by a person lying on the floor outside as I approached it!
A pleasant one that is very near to the station is The Railway in Rainham, Kent.

I did go to the Wetherspoons on the upper level at London Victoria Railway Station some years ago, it was very busy and looked a bit run down, however from the pictures on their website now, it looks like it may have has refurbishment and looks quite good. I shall have to make a point of going there again, then also the other one, Willow Walk, is that accessible by going our out of one of the side exits near platform 2? Cheers Steve.

I have often used the Willow Walk due to the Victoria Station outlet being so busy.

Manchester Printworks is only two minutes' walk from Victoria train station and seconds' walk from the nearest tram stop (Exchange Square). I believe the Wetherspoon is called the Seven Stars however nobody refers to it as that; merely 'Spoons!

Was in Manchester a few weeks back. The 4 or so bars in there inc O’Neils where very quiet indeed midweek. The Seven Stars Spoon however was always very busy particularly on Curry night.

Spoons at Station are obviously going to charge higher prices as they know there is no such thing as Free Train Travel ??

Train travel is free on Merseyside for everyone 60 years and over, not just on Merseyrail but also on the City line out to south Liverpool and over to Huyton and St Helens.

Talk about a value judgement about Spoons punters! No such thing as free train travel? Try London after 0930 for over 60s.....

Having said that the two Spoons in Weymouth aren't great.....

Barking has one almost immediately next door to the main entrance.

You should have seen the amount of people using the 800 / 850 buses from Reading (tier 3) to the Oxfordshire border (tier 2). Those little boozers in Playhatch did a roaring trade

Getting back on topic, has anyone mentioned The Imperial yet, just over the road from Exeter St. Davids? Only been there once, but a very impressive building / gardens!

The Imperial in Exeter is well worth a visit to see the orangery there. I see there are 5 Wetherspoon's with 'Railway' in the title, those at Rainham as previously mentioned, Barnet which is close to New Barnet station, Barrow in Furness which looks close to the station, Lytham St. Annes (been there though don't know about a station?) and Rushden, possibly near the Heritage line? I'm sure others include 'Station' in the title, indeed Shotton which has been mentioned previously, comes to mind.

There is a pub right by the Haymarket Bus Station in Newcastle Upon Tyne, I think it may be called "The Junction", there are also a couple of Wetherspoons not so far away from there too.

The Beehive at Gatwick arrivals was practically on the station. Not sure if its reopened yet.
