I was wondering which station in the country has the most different types of trains calling at it, I was thinking maybe manchester Piccadilly which sees:
M5000s, 142s, 150s, 156s, 158s, 170s, 175s, 185s, 220s, 221s, 323s, 350s and 390s
And you could even include 222s (which EMT sends through on race days in Liverpool) and 153s (which I've seen coupled to 158s on EMT services covering for a 158)
And 319s from December.

Any other contenders?

158, 159, 377, 378, 442, 444, 450, 455, 456, 458. Clapham Junction, you then also have various differences between some sub-classes (458/5s & SN 455/8s) but I haven't counted those.
In days gone by, there would also have been 170s, 313s vice 378s, 319s, and 220/221s

I count 10 for London Bridge (including the tube - is that cheating?)
South Eastern: 375, 376, 465, 466
Southern: 455, 377, 171 (and until recently - 456)
Thameslink: 377, 319 (377 only counted once)
Tube: '95 stock, '96 stock

If you're counting the tube then I'll add M5000s to Piccadilly

Of course Piccadilly has 86s, 87s, 90s and HSTs in place of 390s and 220/1s

For Piccadilly you could add 47's on the argument that TPE send them through on tour de France days!!

How about Doncaster, which could see all those types as Leeds (not sure if any 333s are booked on Doncasters) plus 180s

and 155s (66s also pass through)

321/9s have always been in Yorkshire, the 322s were imported into Yorkshire in recent years, having previously been loaned to First North Western and First ScotRail when not needed on Stansted Express or Great Eastern services.

Stratford, not the winner but interesting enough:

Regular Passenger trains 10 different types.
315, 317, 321, 357, 360, 378, 90/MkIII
Central, Jubilee and Docklands stock.
Plus 379 on ECS to Orient Way or engineering work diversions.

Freight
Just about anything could turn up, from class 20 to 92.

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld

Class 66 loco

Although 318,320, and 334 are mainly seen at the low level platforms, I have included these as being part of the one station complex due to the whole of Glasgow Central station being constructed by the Caledonian Railway.

In peace

I didn't know we were including freight!

I was going to suggest Cardiff too, but I realised Leeds probably had a few more.

Also, 221s reach Cardiff as well as 220s, although not as much.

I've had 221119, 221121, 221127, 221128, 221129, 221131, 221133 and 221135-221141 all on the evening Manchester to Cardiff Voyager.

STEAM or Heritage Diesel (there is a steam train and/or heritage WR diesel of some sort virtually every day at Crewe)
Tampers

I could have added 56 but the Colas trains are not daily. You will probably get more than one every week though.

I have just listed the stuff that goes through every day, if I was to list what can potentially go through Crewe I could probably list over 40 types of train and another 40 types of on track plant!

Take today for instance, 73's at Crewe!

There is also a very late evening ATW service from South Wales which is usually a 153.

I could have until recently added 57's as daily thru Picc but the regular moves have all ended, though you will always probably get at least one every week.

Are 221s really what you would call daily at Picc? They just appear on the odd Virgin through service on 13/14 normally an ECS or a diversion.

I meant the XC ones. The Bournemouth trains are either 220 or 221 and so are the Bristols.
