nd there are no trains booked to call at the Down Slow platform.
The big issue with using the down slow platform is the much lower speed permitted for trains on the down slow line via the tunnel. Useful in the event of engineering works closing the line via Market H as the Corby services can be cut back to Wellingborough using P3 to reverse with the intercity services calling there before carrying on heading towards Leicester diverted via Corby.

As for 12 coach trains, who knows when that might happen.

Lowest number of trains per hour per platform: Kyle of Lochalsh, as mentioned above (four trains per day over two platforms). Stranraer is close behind with 5 trains per day and also two platforms. At Kyle there's about 15 hours from the start to the end of the service, so that works out at 0.13 trains per hour per platform (spread over 15 hours).
Heysham Port, 1 train every 28 hours
