How many stations have transferred from one franchise to another? I am trying to make a complete list of such stations so wondering which others have transferred?

I am not talking about stations that transfer when a franchise changes hands. So things like ATW to TFW / SWT to SWR / VT to AWC / TT/WT to FGW / ATN/FNW to NO etc do not count. It has to be occasions when stations transfer between two different franchises and not simply a franchise taking over another franchise.

There has been a surprising number of these over the years. Mostly they result from one operator taking over a route from another operator. Like for example when Thameslink expanded on to Southeastern routes in the South East London area.

I am sure i have probably missed some others? Are there any other stations that anyone can think of that have transferred?

Also would anyone have the exact dates for these transfers? All i can find are the years but finding exact dates is rather difficult?

Think I'm right in saying that operational responsibility for each of Windermere, Staveley, Burneside and Kendal stations was transferred from First Transpennine Express to Northern in 2016.

Plus a handful of other stations on the Barrow Coastal Route

Responsibility for some stations has transferred to and from Network Rail.

NR took over responsibility for Reading from First Great Western in 2014
NR too over responsibility for Calpham Junction and Guildford in 2018
GTR too over responsibility for Gatwick Airport from NR in 2018

Ulverston, Grange-over-Sands, Arnside, Barrow in Furness, in 2016 when TPE stopped running to Barrow at the same time as they stopped running to Windermere
So not Carnforth, Silverdale, Kents Bank, Cark & Cartmel, Dalton or Roose stations? Were they ever operated by another franchise?

It was a mix between Northern & TPE, just look at the signage.

Add Carnforth to the list which changed over from TPE to Northern

What about the merging of West Anglia Great Northern, East Anglia, and Great Eastern? Some (most) to GA and some to GN.

Liverpool Lime Street has always been an NR "managed station" albeit it has a Northern supervisor as well - unless you've got a typo and you mean many years before 2023 which is plausible!

Going further back, I believe the Anglia Central Trains stations transferred to Anglia Railways back in 2004ish following the introduction of the Norwich to Cambridge service (Shippea Hill, Lakenheath, Brandon, Thetford, Harling Road, Eccles Road, Attleborough, Spooner Row and Wymondham) - the exact date I don't know but there are legal records of Central Trains Ltd being sued as the operator of Thetford station in 2004 in a Disability Discrimination Act case.

I'm not sure if Central Trains also initially operated Whittlesea, March and Manea stations.

Yes, that should have been 2003, sorry!
At privatisation Liverpool Lime Street was managed by First North Western but it was transferred to Network Rail at this later date due to "performance issues".
