King's Cross Thameslink and Barbican have closed.

Kings Cross Thameslink is listed as London Kings Cross Thameslink.

Barbican- Did NOT close it is still served by London Underground services.
When the Thameslink service to Moorgate ceased two platforms were abandoned.

Another new entry

Heathrow Junction opened January 1998 closed June 1998.
The temporary station prior to opening to Heathrow Airport

Islip - Closed in 2014 and reopened in 2015

Has Waterloo International been said ?

Watford Stadium ?

Could Blackfriars be added , seeing as it was closed for a substantial amount of time

I don't think that short-term closed/reopened stations would count as they won't have gone through formal closure proceedings.

Therefore, it DID close to rail services.

You could probably say that King's Cross Thameslink is still open in that same respect, as it still there as an exit from KCSP tube station.

Services to Watford Stadium including the whole of the Croxley Green- Watford High Street line were withdrawn in 1996 but official closure took place in 2003..!

Waterloo International were segregated platforms within the main Waterloo station so it is debateable whether it was classified as a station closure.

The ORR treated it as separate in terms of station licences.

It (Waterloo International) was operated by a different company but part of the same station. Did it undergo closure proceedings when Eurostar moved out?

What about stations on the old West Croydon-Wimbledon line before it was closed and converted for Tramlink? In particular there is nothing of the original Waddon Marsh station left.

You are opening the flood gates there. Manchester Metrolink's conversion of the Oldham Rochdale Line; reopening of stations on the old link from Central to Derby, etc.

All the services using Waterloo International went through the Channel Tunnel and therefore could be left out of account when considering whether a closure procedure was required. So, none was.

Wasnt Islip just closed for engineering works and rebuilding works for the new Chiltern Railways services? I dont think it was a proper closure and reopening?

Many of the stations that are listed as opened since franchising was introduced ( our railways aren't privatised they are still owned by the tax payer) were actually commissioned for opening under BR.
For example it was agreed that Mansfield Woodhouse station would open well before franchising. Therefore The list should differentiate between those stations that opened after April fools day 1994 (disaster day) but had already been agreed to open under BR and those whose planning and opening all took place entirely after that date.
