A2B Travel Wirral I would say are a contender these days

Years ago was mostly warm out scruffy buses several from related company Eazibus (which is long gone)

Now it's practically a brand new fleet of E200MMC's and a couple of Sprinters

I believe a Solo or 2 might still be around but it's there better examples

Sadly come October I think A2B would have gone due to Merseymetro franchising

Another smart Merseyside operator is Peoplesbus always extreamly well presented fleet

Over in South Wales Some smaller firms like Adventure Travel (Previously NAT) and Harris Coaches have started to modernise there fleets which has over all improved both of them same for Phil Anslow and also South Wales Travel in Swansea

Though not part of the UK, Bus Vannin on Isle of Man deserves a mention for its immaculate presentation inside and out. Vehicles resembled a high quality private hire operation. I particularly like the Citaros with a high spec interior.

Currently sat on a very smart T10 Bangor - Corwen service operated by K&P coaches based on Anglesey. Service is always presented well in my experience.

White Bus in the Berkshire and Surrey area are a very well-presented bus company, with spotlessly clean and well turned out buses, friendly and presentable drivers and are in general just a high-quality bus operator.

They've got a handful of older vehicles still in former operator's liveries but from what I've seen they are all still well-presented.

I haven't sampled Lynx but I agree re Sanders. When I first travelled with them a few years back, they were running some awfully clapped out older buses on the X44 which looked like they were on their last legs, but it's really quite remarkable how much they've improved recently with the large order of new buses - a very presentable and worthy operator now I'd say.
The standard of presentation of the White Bus fleet has slipped in recent years - some of the fleet has been running around in allover white for many months and several vehicles have damaged panels. Reptons maintains a high standard of presentation for its fleet.

An historic one from my own locality. Buckle of Duns, which finished in 1986 when the owner (the late Malcolm Buckle) retired, was well-known both in the Borders and beyond for its high standards of maintenance and turnout. It always bought new and when its vehicles did come up for sale, buyers knew they were getting ones that had been well cared for. Its vehicles were known as the "pigeon buses" locally because the fleet colours were blue and grey; as a child, whenever these were mentioned - and as several of my neighbours raced pigeons - I had visions of passengers sitting in the backs of the lorries used to transport the pigeons to races!

I remember talking with Malcolm a few years after he retired and he told me that the reason why the company closed on his retirement was down to two things. One, he always said that he would run the buses until he turned 65, which he did. The other was because deregulation was imminent; in the Borders, buses were deregulated on 18th August 1986 (at the start of the Scottish school year), rather than in the October, and Malcolm didn't want to pass the company on within the family in case Lowland Scottish ran it off the road. Far better for all to go out on a high.

No idea if the service is any good, but Pilkington's fleet in Accrington always seemed to look smart - I like the cream-grey-red livery that looks equally good on double deckers and single deckers.

Lonsdale Buses (a.k.a. Kirkby Lonsdale Coaches) have seemed quite smart and well-presented when I've travelled on them recently, especially now they've applied the new white-green livery to (almost) the whole fleet.

I will vouch for that too. K&P on the T10 are amazing. Always well presented, really friendly and helpful drivers. I've never had a bad experience with them on the coach side, or the T10 bus.
