Abercynon used to have a station on both the Aberdare and Merthyr routes but a new one was built south of the junction dispensing with the others.
Interestingly different reasons. Osterley was moved to put the station entrance on a prominent main road instead of down a side street. Aldgate East was to rebuild the junction for the tight triangle with additional space to avoid trains getting into deadlock.Osterley on the Piccadilly Line and Aldgate East on the District/H&C Lines if we're including the Underground.
That was a separate 'milk dock' platform, from the Middleton Press book for the area.Wimbledon? There's evidence of an old platform on the other side of The Fridge.
