66794 is named ‘Steve Hannam’. When it arrived in this country it carried the name ‘Ted Gaffney’.

While there are many locos that have carried more than one name have any others been named after more than 1 person?

86259 doesn’t count as Peter Pan is fictional and 37425 doesn’t either as Concrete Bob and Sir Robert McAlpine were the same person.

43198 is named after the late Brian Cooper one side and the late Stan Martin the other. Both drivers tragically lost their lives in accidents whilst working for First GW.

I presume you mean more than one person where both are named? Otherwise there’ll be a fair few I’d imagine, eg there was a 47 named Rochdale Pioneers which is obviously a group of people

Southern’s 73202 which has carried both “Graham Stenning” and “Dave Berry” nameplates.

I realise the title says "locos", but if we are ok to extend to all traction then South Western Railway Desiro 450067 carries three names side by side - Simon Butcher, Russell Maton and Conrad Myers. All three were active members of staff (ticket office, driver and guard respectively) who all passed away after contracting COVID-19.

Back to locos, 47712 has carried both 'Lady Diana Spencer' and 'Dick Whittington'. If you're a believer in Hellenism then you might also argue that Artemis was a third eligible name...

Quite rare then. I'm guessing there might have been some shunters as well as they were frequently named after depot staff and some might have been named multiple times but carrying names of different people seems quite uncommon.
