There used to be a Megabus service between Brighton and London in the past. It was operated by Stagecoach from their Worthing depot. The allocated vehicles were originally some double decker Leyland Olympian buses and Volvo Olympian buses but with more comfortable coach seating and later some Volvo B10M coaches. But they never seemed to have enough vehicles. So it was very common to get Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer buses on it. In fact on all four occasions that i travelled on this service it was a Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer that was used. It was quite fun travelling at high speed on the motorways on a bus that was designed for slow city routes. But this Megabus route was withdrawn in the late 2000s so it has been gone for years.
When London - Oxford was withdrawn, it was replaced by a limited number of tickets on each Oxford Tube departure.
Some Scotland - London routes went via both Manchester and Leeds (in that order, there's still a route that does Leeds then Manchester coming from Newcastle).
