I've been offered tickets for the FA Cup final on Saturday and am trying to work out the best way for my son & I to get down there. I'm trying to work out whether it's worth us driving most of the way (from Merseyside) and then getting the train from somewhere nearish to Wembley or whether it's better to get the train there all the way.
Potentially, we could travel from Lime Street or Chester. We would need to get there for a 4:45 kick off.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!

A lot of fans like to drive to Stanmore, park at Stanmore and then get the tube to Wembley (and back).
Enjoy the final and come on you Reds !

This is a good recommendation, and I have even done it when going into London from the North West for work, because it's easy to get to off the M1 and I can avoid the central London traffic.

Thanks for your suggestions folks, much appreciated. I think I'll give Stanmore a go. What's the parking like, is there on road parking or are there car parks, too?
