Trip to Grindleford and a Valenta back

Here are some photos from a trip to Grindleford on the Hope Valley. It's actually quite a nice spot with a good café and a walk to the village and back is good too. To put the icing on the cake, I was informed by Yorkie that the 16:27 back to Luton was double valentas so hopped on that for the way home.

I can vouch for the cafe at Grindleford.....

Obviously, the NMT was spare at Derby, as 1 passed me near Shaftholme heading south at approx 1200.

Just looking again at the timestamp of the 185 emerging from Totley Tunnel, I think that's the 1 I was on as well.

Rich, just a quick thought, but the TPE services don't leave Sheffield until xx11, and take between 8 and 10 minutes to reach Grindleford. Does the time need adjusting on your camera?

That one coming out of the tunnel is (IMHO) the best shot there, and probably the best I've seen all year.

A good spot there David! I saw the timestamp too, the time shown is unfortunately 14 minutes earlier than it actually was hehe.
