There would be a public outcry at closure & other stations with even less use. Good luck to any attempts to try.

Can't see it ever closing. Just be good to see the pub reopened.

Apart from a small saving on brake pads and diesel from trains stopping there, I fail to see what benefit closing it would have.

It can't cost much to keep open surely?
I'm not advocating it but surely there would be considerable cost savings from closing the whole line from the Junction with the Lowestoft Line towards Great Yarmouth?

I wonder if any investor who attempts to restore and reopen the pub would be able to come to agreement with the TOC to get more trains to call at the station? Do any trains pass through that aren't timetabled to call?

Next to none in daylight hours & these are the only times permitted. Even if you provided illumination who in their right mind would make the effort across the field in darkness & why would GA send any more trains via Reedham as opposed to the more lucrative Acle route?

To keep the station open as it is at present should indeed be very cheap.
The problem would come if anyone wanted to upgrade it to the standard expected elsewhere.
Disabled access ?
Lighting ?

It seems unlikely that spending significant money could be justified. If the pub is ever re built, then I doubt that many pub customers would travel by rail, due to the restricted service.

I heard that the Berney Arms pub has reopened after it closed and went on fire last year.

Can anyone corroborate this rumour?
