Trio ticket - weekly

Dear friends,

I probably missed something on the instructions of Mersey train site. Could you please clarify one issue for me:

If I buy a weekly TRIO ticket today (Saturday, 12 Dec 15) when my ticket will be expired (1) and which date the cashier should stamp on the ticket (2)?

(if it is important it is TRIO ticket for C1 zone - Liverpool).

I bought this ticket on 12 Dec and the stamp on it is 20 Dec - it is more than a week. So, I don't understand when it starts to be valid.

It is valid for 7 days. I suspect they probably thought that you wanted a ticket for the following week (14 to 20 December), so I presume it is valid from Monday morning until midnight on the evening of 20 December.

Thanks for the answer, but I failed to find any supporting information. They never say that the Weekly TRIO tickets are valid from Monday to Monday (or I searched the wrong places).

It is valid for travel upto midnight on the expiry date stamped on the ticket

Thats quoted directly from the back of my annual all zones adult ticket.

The question is from which date it is valid - from the date of purchase to the date stamped or from Monday to Sunday...
