Adam and Ben are both twin brothers.

One day Adam celebrated his birthday and two days later Ben celebrated his. How is this possible?

Both twin brothers were born on a leap year.
Adam on the late hours of February 28th and Ben on the early hours of February 29th. If this is not right then both birthdays are celebrated on different calendars.

If they were born on a leap year then there wouldn't be a gap in between them though, as Adam's birthday would always be February 28th and Ben would choose to either have his on February 28th, February 29th (leap year) or March 1st.

I will give you a hint; the year that there is two days between them *is* a leap year.

The mother gave birth to Ben first on March 1st. At that time of the birth she must have been travelling either on a boat, plane, train or whatever the form of transportation where the date line changes. In this case the date goes back to February 28th. Adam was then born.

Thus on a leap year, both birthdays are celebrated 2 days apart.

If I'm driving; Virtually no time at all...It's less than 500 miles away from Bristol TM, and thus reachable within 30 seconds of starting up - Considering my approach to train driving! hock:

Actually trying to answer the trick question though:
It can't be done - Portishead hasn't had a station open to the general public since 1964CE. The only rail traffic that reaches Portishead nowadays is freight! :razz:
