Trespassers at Aberdeen 24Nov15

Wonder if anyone can gelp solve a mystery... Reports of trespassers on the line caused a series of delays at Aberdeen this afternoon, article quotes below.

However interestingly a friend of mine saw that after the police had been on the line, presumably looking for the trespassers, they boarded the 1709 to Edinburgh (1B43 act dep 1800) picked out and arrested 3 passengers... Anyone know if this was related or pure coincidence?!

TRAINS from and to Aberdeen station were delayed this evening after trespassers were reported on the line.

Police Scotland were called to investigate at around 5.20pm after people were spotted on the tracks approaching Aberdeen.


As a result, services passing between Aberdeen and Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness were delayed for up to an hour while officers searched the line.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Nothing was found in the search of the line.

“The caution which had been placed on the lines to allow us to search has now been lifted and trains should be running normally.”
