Seems like FGW are having some issues. Trees on the line between Swindon & Gloucester (Stroud) and between Pewsey and Westbury

All lines currently blocked between Swindon/Gloucester
All lines currently blocked between Pewsey and Westury. Services between Devon & Cornwall will be diverted via an "alternative route".
Lines now clear. Reported to have been a Freight Train that struck the Tree.

Looks like that HST stopped just in time- unlike the one in wiltshire a few years ago that took out the leading cab...

Leaves on the line...
They need to find a new excuse for delays!

When I was a guard I announced that-

"the train is being delayed due to leaves on the line, unfortunately the leaves are still attached to the tree".

Got a few smiles from the passengers after that as it had broken the mood, the manager that was on the train was less than impressed though as I had gone "off script".

News coming through of a perosn-under-train between Swindon and Didcot Parkway - a bad day for FGW. My thoughts to all involved

EDITED: Changed fatality to PUT due to fgwtt1988's revision

I've read that the person who was hit by a train between Didcot Parkway and Swindon is still alive and has been air lifted to hospital
