Tree on Wires Between Billericay & Wickford

I’m on train to Southend Victoria. Came to stop mile after Billericay. Driver says tree fell on wires and resting on third coach. I imagine we’ll be here for some time.

Fortunately we’re on downhill gradient and are now rolling slowly clear of obstruction and to Wickford.

Coasted for some distance then came to sudden stop just short of Wickford. Driver says brakes came on as air tanks have emptied.

Pantograph raised, tanks filled and on our way.
