Travelling to Salou By Train

I have been looking at the best ways to travel to Salou from The UK. I am kinda stuck in which way to possibly go and the cheapest option.

Anyone any goo ideas and also price ranges?

I don't know about prices, but the quickest way would be Eurostar to Paris, followed by the new cross-border TGV service from Paris to Figueres (there are two trains a day), which connects directly into a Renfe Altaris train to Barcelona.

From Barcelona there are several trains a day to Salou - it takes about an hour to 90 minutes depending on the class of train.

You can't do the whole journey in the same day (but you could get as far as Barcelona). The alternative is an overnight stop, or you could travel on the Renfe trenhotel "Joan Miro" from Paris to Barcelona.

I've been from Barcelona to Salou by train, and they're pretty darn busy too! Make sure you try and go inside the coach, it's notorious for people to run on, steal bags and run back off - as happened on our train 4 times.

I agree with Railjet's route, though!

You could also go overnight Paris - Barcelona on the Juan Miro Hotel Talgo.

This would be one fewer change of train, only changing in Paris and Barcelona
