Is it just me, or has traveline been worse than normal at providing alteration information these holidays? I know councils and opperaters must inform them first but there website and callcentres have often been inconsistant and on more than 1 occasion they have said something is running that wasnt or the other way round and for there Scottish opperations there PDFs of alterations are often inaccurate.

In short, there service can only be described with a word that would get me banned! Anybody else had issues? Anyone here work for them and like to explain themselves? Who should I complain too?
As somebody with an eyesight problem who cant read a printed leaflet of changes and with opperaters own level of information varying greatly this is not far short of a (sometimes expensive) and hair tairing nightmare!

Firstly, I am very sorry to hear that you had troubles with your journey.

I am sure that Traveline do their very best to provide a good service, and I would imagine that they use the information they are given by their operators to provide information to the public. If transport operators give incorrect information, or no information at all, to Traveline, I am sure that they, themselves are frustrated.

It appears that they prefer all contact to be via their feedback form at http://www.traveline.info/contact.html . However, if you wish to contact them in writing, their postal address is:
Director of Traveline
Traveline Information Ltd.
c/o CPT, Drury House,
34-43 Russell Street,
LONDON
WC2B 5HA

Traveline Information Ltd is a partnership of transport operators and local authorities formed to provide impartial and comprehensive information about public transport in Scotland, England and Wales. The Advisory Group includes representatives from bodies such as the Department for Transport (DfT), Transport for London (TfL), the Scottish Executive, the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) and various local government and transport executive groups.

However, it does not appear to have the same appeal structure as many other transport services. It appears that they do their best and if you are not satisfied then that's that.

Again, I do apologise that you had such an awful journey! I have had those, too, and they are frustrating. I hope some of the information above might be interesting or useful to you.

Best wishes.

It must be extremely difficult to try and make sense of the information supplied (if any) by such a diverse range of fragmented transport providers.

I wa slooking for New Year bus info for Mid Wales on the Traveline, County Council and operators websites, and I found nothing, so it doesn't seem to be something that Traveline has much control over.
