I need to travel north on August 5th but there is an RMT overtime ban.

My colleague assures me that travel should be OK, but is that a risk?

What company are you travelling with and where are you travelling to?

Generally the overtime bans haven’t created too much disruption (as TOC’s have had time to plan contingency timetables), but obviously this varies both by route and by TOC.

Several TOCs are seeing no impact to timetables from the overtime ban. If you're travelling with Avanti, for example, the normal timetable will be in operation. I wouldn't worry about it.

Increased numbers of traincrew on leave due to the school holidays now may be more of a factor going forward than it was in recent overtime ban weeks.
