Travel from Ilkeston

I was idly contemplating the possible journeys from Ilkeston once services start on 2 April.

So I looked on several ticket sites and journey planners, for travel to or from Ilkeston after the opening but drew a blank, they said no such station.

Does anyone know when new stations go live on these systems to enable bookings to be made?

The three letter code ILN seems to work on the National Rail website journey planner if you put in a date after 2 April, but it looks like the full timetable hasn't been uploaded yet as it looks to be a very sparse service.

It looks to me as if it is only listing the handful of EMT Norwich - Liverpool trains which are due to call at Ilkeston. It has not included the hourly Northern, Nottingham - Leeds service which is to be the main regular service to call at Ilkeston.

I'd searched using the android National Rail app and the Trainline website and neither of those recognise ILN or Ilkeston, but as you say, the web version of the National Rail site does show it.

Makes you wonder what else might not be right about the NR app...

When Edinburgh Gateway station opened back in December, I seem to recall that it was only in the last couple of weeks before its opening that the full range of tickets to/from the station was available in the journey planners.

If you look on sites such as RealTimeTrains, the Northern services are already showing today to call at Ilkeston... just as non-passenger stops.
