Hi
I have just purchased a travel card zones 1-6 in londo
My ticket says Brighton to London zones 1-6 she wrote r a in the bottom corner .
The ticket says Thameslink only. Off peak.
Does this still mean I can travel on great western London midland etc etc provided within zones 1 to 6?
Many thanks

Once you're in the Travelcard zones you can use them on all heavy rail, Tube and bus services within zones 1-6. So, it is an appropriate ticket if you want to do some bashing.

Thankyou
I'll be bashing the underground today. I want to see trains at different stations especially the 43002 due in PAD at 1215

My first reaction is to say that you should check how much you paid. You say you bought a Zone 1 to 6 travelcard but you have a ticket that includes an out boundary journey to Brighton.

Or do you mean that you bought a ticket for a day in London from Brighton? If that was the case I would assume that the Thameslink restriction applies to the leg of the journey between Brighton and the zone 6 boundary.

When you are within zone 6 the normal travelcard rules would apply.

RA = Restrictions Advised.

It might have more been off-peak restrictions rather than the (questionable) brand restriction.

It's a train company restriction (NRCoC Condition 10), so any train operated by the train company specified (irrespective of branding, which never comes into it, as there is nothing about that specified in the NRCoC) as far as the boundary of Zone 6. A Travelcard is always valid by any participating operator/mode within the zones, of course.
