I'm travelling to Edinburgh tomorrow via plane (I know, I'm sorry, but it was so much cheaper than rail) and was taking a look online, but saw there are effectively no day tickets that provide any rover travel around Edinburgh.
Does anyone know of any interesting and reasonably priced journeys doable around Edinburgh to cover some track and try a few different units?
Looking to just travel on a few trains in the morning/afternoon before heading back to Edinburgh for some food towards 3/4 PM before returning home.
I'll be leaving Edinburgh airport at about 10am, looking to be back at the airport around 7pm, if all goes to plan.
I've not visited Edinburgh before, so any and all advice is appreciated.
