My answer was I'll do whatever you need me to do and whatever gets me on a course first. As a result I'm starting training this coming Monday for Valley Lines but they made it clear that there's a chance I may end up on mainline anyway, all depends on driver numbers.
Yeah maybe I should of said both. I might say I can do either when the time comes but thought mainline is more desirable for more people, I ain't bothered either way what I do. Good luck for Monday though! Tell us how it goes

It was indeed if that was around 9 in the morning, I had the dodgey blue suit on lol I'm glad you passed also mate! Congrats! Was a nice chat before hand. Certainly calmed my nerves down before entering the interview so thank you for that!

What was the DMi interview like?
Hi mate, the interview was fine. It was conducted by two driver managers who were both great and not there to trip you up, and gave me plenty of opportunity and encouragement when answering questions. I’d just recommend preparing by researching the company, the role and the usual type of questions that you would expect. Hope this helps.

With computer tests, you do the 3 tests without a break. So started off doing the grey/black square for half hour. Then I did the images, don't guess and just click what you see! And then the joysticks. Very sensitive and you will go out the lines. I went out the lines loads and thought I failed. You have then 45 minutes to go over your six questions. I changed my answers on 4 of them on the day lol then the interview lasts like 45 mins, use the star method. They will prod you on questions

Is it just the TFW staff pass?
I think it’s just for the staff pass. Have you heard anything back yet? Passed police check but that’s it, still nerve wracking even just waiting for the references and whatever other checks they do.

Yeah that’s all I clicked as the other ones didn’t seem relevant.

I have completed all the paperwork, had references, police DBS all back and passed. Just a waiting game now, but agree it’s nerve wrecking!

I think we will hear more nearer the time; (albeit 3 weeks away!)

First day is just an induction online :)

Funnily they just phoned- I hadn’t provided evidence of my bank. Kicking myself now that I didn’t ask if they’d got references back yet. Sounds like you’re just waiting to start now, well done getting through all the checks

My partner got an email today to book a slot but all the positions were filled and I didn't even get an email for some reason. Cant be many spaces, she replied 10 minutes after receiving it.

I did get a spot, the paper one was confirmed for me quickly. It was 4 hours until my timing was confirmed. I did email them back quickly too.

How long are people waiting for their DMI dates? I'm applying for Crewe and passed Computer tests 5 weeks ago. The waiting is killing me!

I was hoping someone could tell me what stations are on the Cardiff mainline? I see a few people have posted that they were asked to give a preference of valleys line or mainline. There is a map of the valleys line on the TFW website, but nothing that specifically shows a Cardiff mainline and what stations are on it.
