That's what I thought. Removes a massive stressor from the process. Although £1700 is a bit steep for something you can easily fail on a bad day!!!

If you book it through the railway competence group it’s £799
I was told recently that there is next to no one in the talent pool for Cardiff for driving so if you get through the DMI you see almost certain to get a job relatively soon. Does that sound about right to you or not so much?

From what I understand it’s waiting for course dates to become available that makes you have to wait a while. I’ve been waiting 5 weeks since I passed my dmi and still waiting.
Yea mate. I was in it for two days. I've had friends come through behind me and was never in it at all, just given a start date. Since I joined, there's been another 46 starters in just a few months

I have my Paper tests next week in a hotel. Does anyone know if I would have the structured interview that day? I have seen on here that some people do have it but due to it being in a hotel, I was told I might not have it until after the computer tests. Anyone who has recently gone through this then it would be great to know. Thanks

Have you heard anything yet? The suspension is killing me.. do you think they may send out results on a Sunday or just Mon-Fri?
You won’t hear anything until a week after the assessment, so if you sat it on a Tuesday you will get the results the following Tuesday.

Yes I’ve been waiting 6 weeks on Friday. I think everyone before me has been given a course date and I believe they are full so just waiting for the next ones now

Not heard a peep. It’s luck more than anything when a course becomes available. Some people wait days others wait weeks depends on when you passed your dmi and when the course starts. Yes based in Cardiff opted for both lines to get in earlier to start. If I hear anything will let you know

My answer was I'll do whatever you need me to do and whatever gets me on a course first. As a result I'm starting training this coming Monday for Valley Lines but they made it clear that there's a chance I may end up on mainline anyway, all depends on driver numbers.
