Its likely to change again, as there's a pay rise negotiation going on.

You do classroom and then all your driving with an instructor. Once you've done your 265 hours and ticked off all the bits you need, you do a passout week with manager. Rules, routes etc. Once they pass you and you are on your own you get 90% of that 58k
Got you, thanks! Any rumours as to a % they are looking to settle on? Even a few % will put it into the 60’s

Everything went good, nothing to worry about he said.

Albeit I did the hearing test twice ha….

So fingers crossed, hear something soon
Well done getting through! How come you had to do the hearing test twice. I’m a bit worried as my hearing isn’t the best, do they allow hearing aids?

I’m assuming no one has been shortlisted for the Cardiff trainee jobs then? The advert closed almost a month ago, hoping to hear something soon! I know waiting seems to be the name of the game but with the current drive for recruitment in TFW I was hoping to hear, good luck to anyone waiting on an email!

So a heads up I applied back in august 2022 and heard back I had been shortlisted on the 23rd December. It does take a while to go through all the applicants as so many apply.

I had an email about 2 weeks ago saying I was shortlisted and they needed to do some NI checks before the next step.

I’m waiting to hear if I’ve been short listed also. Did you apply for Cardiff last month? And if so when did you hear you had passed the sift?

I didn’t hear the beeps in my right ear first time round, no idea why ha, cause 2nd time I heard them perfectly

I think they do allow hearing aids but need to hit a certain criteria without, don’t quote me on that though!

I have been shortlisted for Cardiff, I applied about a month ago and got the email I have been shortlisted about 2 weeks ago. I refresh my emails a few times a day. I really hope to be picked to start the training.

Can I clarify what you mean by pass out? As in do you get 90% of the 58,038 after you finish the classroom based section of training or when you complete the part where you drive with an instructor?

Has anyone been told they have been shortlisted for the trainee driver jobs at Cardiff from the last application window? 13/03/23 the advert closed
90% is £52,234 per annum

Best of luck to you! I read that they are going to recruit a huge amount of drivers so now is probably the best time. I’m just hoping they are shortlisting in big batches and I will hear in the next few weeks, fingers crossed

Had my medical today and been told no issues so just waiting for confirmation from TFW then onto vetting etc I’m guessing! Very real now!
Yea, you'll get a phone call saying about talent pool etc, but as things are you will probably just be given a start date

Well done, I hope I get into your position. How did you find the first paper tests and the structured interview?
