Hi all, just a quick question after filling in the application form for Trainee Train Driver back in July, I had a confirmation e-mail to say that they had rec'd my application, then another in August, I know the the closing date wasn't til 14/10/20 several people I know have had rejection e-mails, but I have not heard anything, I did send an e-mail to acorn recruitment but no reply, does anybody know what the next stage is.

Congrats mate. I was placed into the talent pool in early September. Im really worried about the news yesterday about tfw being nationalised. Just hope there's enough driver jobs after that news. But this covid has put everything out of whack

Thank you, that’s good to know. My current job is a contract and it finishes on 31st December so I’m hoping to be in one of the earlier batches.

What I’m hopeful of is that they don’t merge the Feb/Mar 2020 talent pool with the July/Aug/Sept 2020 one, because there may be quite a few talented souls in that one that would push some of the earlier applicants down the list!

Hope you don't mind me asking - I went through the process in Feb/Mar 2020 and successfully completed the computer tests and MMI. However, I haven't heard anything with regards to a talent pool like you have in September, although I was told was that they were awaiting course dates before contacting me. Just wondering with regards to the talent pool confirmation was this emailed to you or sent out in the post?

This lockdown has had a big impact but just hoping nothing has been missed my end as you have heard back.

However, I haven't heard anything with regards to a talent pool like you have in September, although I was told was that they were awaiting course dates before contacting me. Just wondering with regards to the talent pool confirmation was this emailed to you or sent out in the post?

This lockdown has had a big impact but just hoping nothing has been missed my end as you have heard back.

Thanks for the reply. Ah i thought you had done the tests in February. Which is when I undertook them. I'm guessing yours were arranged with Acorn? So correspondence might be different to mine. When i did the process in February the DMI interview was after the telephone interview.

Just received the same one. Fingers x'd. Best of luck. Still have no idea of timescale but it seems that some people have progressed. In fairness though they have had masses of applications.

I was late to the party, applied in September. My fear has always been that TfW would reach their quota before even considering my application as they were moving candidates on before closing the ad.

What is the next stage in the process and what can I do to prepare?
