I have received email today that I am in the Talent bank for Crewe, anyone knows if there’s likely to be a training course any sooner? I passed my Computer based and MMI last week and now in talent bank for 5 years.

Safe to assume North depots are more likely to get a course in the next year or so?
There are at least 3 more courses planned for this year in the North that haven't started yet. Two have already had their trainees allocated but I'm not sure on the third as yet, or if there will be another one after that.

Oh that’s really good news wasn’t expecting that for this year. I mean if not this hopefully next year anyway. Thanks for that.

Yes me too :'(

I feel slightly sad after all that work
Something will come mate keep positive. They wouldn’t extend us for no reason, and they haven’t sent an email stating no courses like they did last year. Ive heard from another driver recently that there will be people will be retiring soon, and I still think the news from my friend about mainline uplift will come good for us too.

I believe there is a course starting in the next couple of weeks. It’s probably varied as all courses are but I’m aware of 3 starting in the North region.

Those waiting for news for the south, there is supposedly a course in the fall of 2026 for CVL with a small number for mainline combined. I don't know if anyone has been allocated to it yet, but it's meant to be starting in either October or November.

I’ve successfully made it to the talent pool as of last month for Chester and wondered if anyone had been given a start date yet for either the Sept or October courses. If not is it likely to be next year now before anymore courses.

At least some of the September and October course drivers have been contacted and gone through medicals, so whilst not 100% set in stone it's likely you'll be waiting for a subsequent course I'm afraid.

Any South news guys? Been like a ghost town here.. Only thing I have heard is that a course for mainline in September-November time is in place and already filled with internals, echoing what user VR494 said previously about a fall course.

Do you get a video interview straight for the driver role or do you have to wait for them to process your results?

How did you get on? I applied for Junction too, had DMI on Feb 20th, paper tests in Chester on April 19th
I only just saw this! Congrats mate how did you get on with paper, I didn’t make the sift but have just completed application for Holyhead which is now live, the process seems to have changed a fair whack already!

Has anyone completed the on line error checking test?
5 x Charts to check
Do you get an instant result or do you have to wait?

Asking for a friend…

I got the invite to the online interview within 24hrs
Thanks pal
Appreciate the response

On the error checking were you able to see all 5 charts easily, were they all visible from the start of the test or did you need to scroll etc
Also did you complete all of the test?
