No nothing I’m patiently waiting in the talent pool, how long have you been waiting?

Same, I’ve been 17 months in the pool for Chester.

Hi Jakem,

I went for the same Wednesday just gone. They make you feel at ease which was excellent!! The key thing is to be yourself.

The group exercise you need to make sure you’re showing teamwork such as getting people involved if they are quiet and contributing to the group.
My one was groups of passengers that we needed to prioritise on who we would help first and give reasons etc.

The role play just study everything they put in front of you and remember the key phrases that it tells you to say.
They are looking to make sure you are friendly in your responses etc.

The interview, just do as much research about TFW as you can and have sample answers for questions such as: Can you tell me about a time you’ve given excellent Customer Service?
Most of the questions on my interview were safety related, so put safety at the forefront of your answers.

I am lucky, I got told I passed the interview 2 days after and now in the talent pool for 2 years!

What depot are you waiting for? I’m not too sure if it’s just valleys or mainline as well but my trainer did mention that there will be one more course starting next month I think it was or the end of this month and after that, there won’t be anymore till the new year

I’m guessing if there’s a course next month spaces have probably already been allocated. Any digging you can do regarding future courses would be greatly appreciated.

It’s going really good thank you, halfway through the course at the moment. I’m guessing the spaces have already been allocated but can’t be 100% if they have or not

From what I can gather, each assessment day varies. There was nothing maths related on mine, not were there any repeats of the online tests, although it did say beforehand that there could be. They certainly won't expect you to do anything that requires you to bring a calculator though.

Aww thank you , they did say in email assessment was customer service role play , group activity and interview but being pens , so hoping that’s for group activities and not ticket selling tests lol

Congrats!!! In similar boat. I’ve got my interview for the valley rescheduled to end of January 2025

Hey! I'm in the talent pool for Cardiff, I have been in the pool since the start of September.

Unfortunately I haven't heard about any courses only that the next courses would be at some point on 2025. Sorry I can't help.

Courses are drying up at the moment - AL86 is right, there is a few in 2025, but past this is anyone's guess. It all depends on other movements such as retirees, change of grades etc. Unfortunately it's a waiting game.

I have successfully been shortlisted for this role, passed the SCAAT test and have just now completed the OPC RAAT test.

Is someone able to confirm how many questions there were in total for the RAAT and how long the timer was set to?

I didn't look at the question numbers as I was too busy reading the passages.
