Bit of a strange rover, in that North of England doesn't appear to include services to Cumbria. How is that not North of England?I have had a search but could not find any news on this. Since September it appears the TPE-only 'North of England Rover' (I447) and 'North of England City Experience' (I524) are no longer in the fares database or mentioned on TPE's website.
Why would that affect availability of these products? That's likely to be due to TPE having switched web sales providers from Worldline to On-Track Retail (if memory serves.)
The new system appears to have only been configured to allow certain Rover tickets and Ranger tickets to be sold for some reason. Why would that affect availability of these products?
The TPE rovers both covered a much wider area than Greater Manchester.Does a TOC only rover/ranger not sort of conflict with the latest changes in the Manchester area - to do away with TOC specific tickets?
Support for Rovers and Rangers requires a lot of work on the part of the data provider and retailer. Why would that affect availability of these products?
I agree about the support required to sell online but it does appear that the products have been withdrawn completely and the ability to sell rovers and rangers would remain in the ticket office TIS.Support for Rovers and Rangers requires a lot of work on the part of the data provider and retailer.
Perhaps On Track Retail uses Assertis, and if so @alistairlees may be in a position to say if they support such products
If they do, then it may be coincidental.
