Transpennine Express over last 48hrs

What has gone on with TPE this weekend? Or it may be fairly standard but I’ve not travelled and seen it.

Yesterday, 9M30 Newcastle to L. Like Street was delayed throughout its entire journey. Today, all the Newcastle services prior to 12:15 were >2hrs delayed. The journey across to Manchester seemed very slow in comparison to the 185 on my way back, which incidentally was delayed by 10mins sitting outside Leeds waiting for a platform at 00:01.

Have I just been unlucky?

LNER have been (and possibly still are) in a complete mess all morning in the north-east, something to do with delayed engineering work I think, so TPE are presumably affected too.

An engineering train set on fire near Thirsk so the possession over ran, it was given up but the up fast is still blocked until the affected vehicle gets recovered overnight

It was closed overnight and was expected to be back open for the 1st passenger train but because of an unexpected thermal event it couldn't reopen on time but was opened as soon as possible
