Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows the diagrams for test runs of the new TransPennine Express Nova 3 trains?

Over the past month, thanks to information ascertained from other people who have seen the Nova 3s running, I've identified a number of diagrams on Realtime Trains that I thought to be the test runs but on each occasion the train either hasn't run, hasn't been activated on the system or has turned out to be something else entirely.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I think you have your answer - it's all a bit random.

Anything emanating from Manchester International is usually that. There's a path to Bletchley U&DGL and I think there's a northbound option, too. But with testing, it's going to be dependent on many things, including what they found/broke the day before, so I don't think it's going to be easy to find a pattern. Luck of the draw.

They go out as required usually towards Bletchley rather than on fixed diagrams. The Carlisle path has been used the least having run twice since testing began in August.

Quite a few trips have been made to Bletchley but not in the last few weeks. Recently most testing has been overnight no further south than Stafford.
