Me too! Wednesday 12.15 session, made up as I was a little worried I'd got one wrong, it was a couple of questions in and was exactly the same answer as one of the examples.
Ha yeah that threw me a bit. I actually wasted about 30 seconds going back to the example to see if it was the same train ID.
How many did you guys answer? It sounds awful and I don't mean it to be but I kinda want to see if anyone's been unsuccessful before I take this as gospel.

I think i did so by the skin of my teeth so naturally im very happy.
Well done to everyone though for getting to assessments stage 1 in the first place. The DFFT might well be a part of the full assessment soon and so let this be a heads up for the ones in the future.

I sat mine on Monday at 12.15 mate - well hopefully we are through but until the email comes through I'll not be 100% confident!
Long time watcher, First time post...... firstly , Big thanks to all current and past users for the Rafts of info I have managed to find on this site.
Secondly , just checked my app status and it also says Succesful - Part Assesment as with a few other above. I did mine at 1515 on Tuesday and answered 9 (8 complete , one part answered as the Pencils down shout was issued !)
I am still not jumping up and down until I've actually had an email, as there may still be a reason I dont get through but fingers crossed !
Well done to everyone who has made it through even to this, until I started using this forum I had never realised just how many applications these positions attract or how fierce the competition really is..... staggering really.
I'd say whoever ends up employed will truly deserve it!!!

Yeah but merrydown means a conformation message with your chosen date! It makes quite a big differance to my weekend depending on what day I head down to Manchester so really looking forward to getting my date!
I'm guessing tomorrow or Monday.

I attended today for the DFFT. This is my first application submission for a railway job and I was very pleased to have been shortlisted and invited to the assessment day. I have done the physics type cogs and pulley questions before also different aptitude tests for other jobs/recruitment days. I have found myself to be very good at these however this was my first attempt at this DFF style of test and I found it quite hard going. It was a lot harder than I had anticipated and I truthfully only managed to answer 6 and 1 part answered. Best of luck to all who attended, those 10 positions will be well deserved.
found this forum the other night when i was looking for info about the assessment days. i went on tues afternoon, its been an interesting read.
just checked my status and there is no update as to whether i passed the fault finding test which is a bit of a concern as other people seem to be updated.
i know i got them all 100% correct but i only answered 6 or 7 as i wasted far too much time checking them over again instead of just moving onto the next one, i could have done at least 3 more if i didnt do this! kicking myself for it now but never mind, my brain just seemed to be in a muddle it didnt help that i was full of a cold!
Good luck to those that make it through hopefully i will still just scrape it.

Well done to those who passed. I did mine on Tuesday at 1215 and completed 9.5 confidently. I actually thought there were only 15 questions, not 20, so I obviously didn't pay attention.
BulldogBurt - you're right, one of the questions was indeed the same answer as the practice question. One of the answers also included writing something in the end box about Hooters!
Anyway, thanks to the heads up from you guys I've just logged in to the First Group careers site and have noted my success, so that's great.

I too have got the successful at part application status on my profile...seems there is quite a lot through and maybe it hasn't sifted as many out as they hoped..who knows!?
The people on here wil have done their research and some probably already gone through these tests. Therefore most people will pass on this forum don't you think?
I think that's true to an extent yes.
There will be a lot of people this week with very good application writing skills but probably not so good technical skills.
