Me too actually, got bloody man-flu to deal with which is just such bad timing but Im feeling confident enough.

Last time I went for stage one assessments for the same job it was all the tests in one day and I passed them. Didn't take this one then though so this is all new.

Good luck to everyone anyway.

Nightmare - hopefully you'll shake it off by Monday! Early start for me to travel down on the day so early night tomorrow! Good luck to everyone as well.

I too received an email asking me to attend the assessment centre on the morning of Thursday the 28th at 9.30am. Anyone else been asked to attend on Thursday? Reading through the document it seems that the dates for assessment are the 25th-27th, so I'm a little concerned but I am sure it is just a typo! Wouldn't want to miss the boat after this 5 week wait!

Actually looking forward to the Driver Fault Finding Test, as difficult as this one sounds!

I noticed the discrepency on the dates too. I'm there Thursday, like you, I imagine it's just a typo.

Hi,

I received a phone call from TPE today asking me to assessment on Thursday , so there is definitely a fourth day of testing. One thing i did notice in the attached letter was no provisional dates for a managers interview . It suggested driver assessments and then a medical , i am presuming this is not the case and there will be a driver managers interview at some stage.
Good luck to everyone attending

Agreed, I had wondered this too! Hope they don't surprise us on Thursday with a Driver Manager Interview!

Does anybody know if the FTPE medical standards are different from other companies? I've heard they have a BMI limit of 28, which I definitely cannot meet. I've been on a weight loss drive for a few months and I'm down at about 30.5 now, my current progress will be about 29 by the medical date range. I've heard of people passing with 33-34 with other TOC's. This is all wishful thinking of passing all the assessments of course!

I wondered about the dates too as I received an email on Friday 22/03/13 inviting me to attend on Thursday 28/03/13 so yes there must be a 4th day of testing.

STILL awaiting shortlisting. Crazy that most people have been told one way or another, anyone else in the same boat as myself?

I'm still ' awaiting shortlisting' sammy(and kt)
Surely they're not going to cram everyone they've picked for assessment into only 4 days?

Is anyone wiser with the figures I.e. how many they get thru assessing in any one day?

Good luck to everyone so far!

I think there was around 25 spaces set out at my assessment yesterday - 3 assessments a day over 4 days could be the 300 applicants that they said got through.

Hi, I have my assessment tomorrow, do they tell you on the day itself if you're passed or failed? What did you make of the tests? So so nervous :(

Yes, but had long reconciled myself to not getting in this time even before these tests were announced.

It's still going to be a disappointment when the knock-back comes.

Hi my status is on hold , I emailed HR and received the following

"We are still waiting for the outcome of shortlisting, as soon as we receive
these you will be contacted via email.

Kind Regards"

All we can do is wait.

Congrats, did you have to do the fault finding assessment this week or had you already passed that too?

Good Luck with that, at least you know what's coming this time ! I thought First Group had a waiting period of 6 months if you are unsuccessful at interview ?

See all we get informed about in our emails are the basics. Our trainability, group bourdon tests, safety tests and interview. No harm in keeping the mechanical comprehension topped up though :) I've got my fault finding tomorrow at 9:30am. Looking forward to it!

Oh, if anybody else has been through the fault finding today, how have you found it?

I'm still on the shortlist!! Must be a long assed shortlist that's all I can say! Anyway, my friend had his test today, I don't know if it was him not explaining it well or him explaining it very well..... either way, it sounded complicated. He said he got 10 out of 20. Does anyone know if this is good? I keep telling him these tests aren't really meant to be completed but 10 seems a bit too mid way. What does everyone else think?

I think anyone above 10 has to be a fairly safe bet. Totally guessing here but it's just the way I see it.

I'm not very confident at all now

I did mine today and got to 11, don't hold out much hope because i might've got all 11 wrong, who knows !!!
The test isn't complicated and if there was no time limit would be easy for most people, the 15 minute time limit puts the pressure on and I would be very surprised if anyone could get to fifteen which works at at one/minute

I am too awaiting shortlisting, has anyone who has applied for York got through to the fault finding test, or is it just me?!

If it is, they have probably forgotten and will eventually turn the lights out on my app!

I applied for York and have the DFFT on Thursday. I know the feeling as I didn't get my email till Friday last week when people were hearing at the start of the week, however you never know so don't let up hope yet!

I completed mine on Monday and managed to complete 10.I'm fairly confident they are all correct and if not maybe just 1 error.
I would say that getting beyond 12 correct answers is almost superhuman and i would guess that 8 correct would get you through to the second stage.
The lady told me that expect about 150/300 shortlisted to get through to the next assessments which i thought was quite high?
She also explained that although they have a pass mark, this maybe increased if the standards are high.
After a brief chat with some other applicants, the amount of questions answered was about 6-10 with One claiming 17.
After the last assessments on Thursday, how long before we find out if have progressed to the next stage as the next stage are due to commence on the 11th/12th.
Gives me a glimer of hope then. I'm nearly 100% that I got 8 correct. I am shocked at how many got above 10 as I really thought I had the pace:balance about right. However I think if I knew 10 was the standard if have gone quicker. I do think that a 50% reduction in numbers could mean a pass mark of around 8/9 correct answers.

I'd guess that Monday - Thursday next week will be the timeframe for letting people know.

That's answering one every 53 second's, I agree that is superhuman or they have taken the test before !!
