I must admit Transpenning are normally very good at paying delay repay claims, but on Bank Holiday friday my claim was unsuccessful, despite my train being cancelled and having to wait over an hour, this was on a return section of a day return ticket though, so Im not sure if these count?

That should count. Without more information it is impossible to comment further.

I had read your trip report and thought that is a slam dunk Delay Repay claim. Wonder why they rejected it.

Delay Repay claims get rejected (or underpaid) for many spurious reasons; the problem is endemic in the rail industry.

If an appeal is unsuccessful, the next step is the Rail Ombudsman.

How strange, without disputing the outcome, they suddenly decided to allow it and I didnt even respond??
