Transferring all data between PC's

In the next few days I'm looking to get a new PC, and would obviously want all the TS2015 and Steam data on there already.

What's the best way to transfer everything across, given the size and the reliance on internet login to steam to run at its full flexibility?

Brad465, other options include:

1. Buy a portable hard disk drive from Amazon or the like (connects with USB port) - from around £30
2. Use your network - much better with a pair of network cables, from your new computer, map to a drive on your old computer - eg using Windows Easy Transfer http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/products/features/windows-easy-transfer

'2' can be problematic because of firewalls etc and can take many hours if you have lots of videos, pictures or music to move.

Doing it over your home network would be the easiest
If you have a big enough memory stick you could move it in batches and save waiting on a drive.
The best method is to add your old disk as a slave to your new PC assuming it can take a second disk.
But if your not familiar I would't do that yourself!

If the old PC is being decommissioned you could get an external case for the HDD from it and connect it externally to the new PC. No matter which method you use, depending on how many games you've got on steam, you're going to probably need to allow at least 2 hours for the data to transfer.
