Trans Pennine Scotland Query

How long have Northern Staff being working the above (Trans Pennine Scotland services) the reason for the query is that I was at Piccadilly Station on Saturday and 10:16 service to Edinburgh came in and I was surprised to see that the Conductor was in full Northern Rail Uniform complete with name badge.

How long have Northern beeing providing staff for Trans Pennine services?

The very busy 1715 from Manchester is to be worked by a Northern Guard to Preston although there was a TPE Guard in the rear cab.

Since Blackpool and Barrow depots transferred from TPE to Northern the current diagrams haven't changed so there is still an overlap in work. This is gradually being phased out.
