Trams and Trains in Den Haag

A few shots taken in and around the two main stations in Den Haag. Centraal station brings back memories of Birmingham New Street whilst the Holland Spoor station has much more architectural merit. The trams vary from traditional street running to light rail metro trains.

Den Haag's trams are great but have a ridiculous ticket system. Bought a ticket from the HTM van next to Den Haag NS Station, and boarded the Scheveningen tram. Looked for a composter box to stamp my ticket - none. There was just a yellow touch pad for ITSO type smartcards.

HTM Inspectors get on.... "Oooh you have not stampingsed it....." etc....

"Where's the box?" I asked....

He replied "Errr.. there's one. At the front of the tram. Hidden behind that plastic safety screen. You can't see it, but it's there......"
